one more sketch to add to the same genre.Now I have realised that rendering drapery for a dynamic pose is not a piece of cake.While attempting the shading part of this sketch i understood that i need to experiment more on the strokes to get the desired cloth feel.So now its time to analyse the work of masters and learn where i have failed.Its not an easy task i know….but just pointing out the mistakes myself is not going to help me in the long run.So now its time for some serious research.

I was getting the feeling that my blog is getting monotonous when it comes to content…So thought of shifting over to another genre …dynamic poses.I expect this change to offer me better challenges when it comes to rendering cloth. will also  help me understand how the underlying anatomical form affects the cloth behavior. Its been a long time since i danced to the tune of some music.Really miss those college days…..Now its time to  bethink the old passion …but this time through a different medium.

Its been more than two weeks since i moved to  hyderabad as part of my freelance assignment.Happened to visit the wedding of one of my colleagues.Was fascinated by the way in which  south indian weddings differ from the one in mumbai.Being a south indian myself,i have  never noticed the peculiar elements of south indian wedding until i moved to mumbai.Ok ….cant make a collective judgement by referring just mumbai…becoy it comprises of  people like me who moved to this city from other parts of india.But the mood was quite different from the traditional marathi wedding party.After returning home, thought of sketching something that fits the mood….because the wedding party was the only interesting thing that i could remember about that day when compared to the monotonous work schedule.and here it is…

Now that i understood that i need to practice more on invidual elements before attempting a final composition…decided to break down the task in to small chunks. So that once i feel i have improved atleast a bit from the past sketch, i will post something new.

well…started this one with the idea of improvising my skills on rendering drapery.But turned out to be a big failure.Anyways..i had planned this one to be the post after a short break.So here it is….
